We have always wanted to build a really big quick release.  25,000 lb (11340kg)working load quick release latch 22.12in (562mm) x 6.76in (172mm) x 4.25in(108mm), weight is 56 pounds (25.4kg). Heat treated 4130 chrome-moly hook and latch. Air actuated only. No projecting release levers for total safety when raising the load. When destructive tested, broke at 130,000 lbs. In this picture, the big shackle on the right is a 1-1/4" 12ton Shackle. Both ends of the Quick Release are sized for a 1-1/4" Shackle (1.6" 40,6mm).
