10/30/11 We were out for a dirt road drive in the Mojave Desert when we came across this Desert Tortoise.
Late in the year for this guy. Usually they are deep in their borrows for the winter when it starts to get cold. It was a warm day, but the nights are getting cold and this tortoise will soon be underground, waiting for spring.
