Special Effects Equipment
Part #
FX-AL-LL-Single
Eric Allard has come up with a very useful piece of equipment called the Load Lifter. It uses common DeLaMare or MP Associates squibs in a captivated unit that can propel objects repeatably without the risk factor of unenclosed pyrotechnics. An example would be the ability to launch an item off of a table at a controlled height with a person standing right next to it without the risk of flying pyro debris. It also allows for quick and easy reset, as the launched item can have doubles all ready to reset into the load lifter. These Load Lifters are available for purchase. The Kit with 2 Load Lifters, Pelican case, spare parts and tools is $1000.00 . Single Load Lifters can be purchased for $500.00.

A nice piece of equipment. Good for many uses. Imagine a bullet hit sequence where props have to fly through the air. Rather than the shock cord launch, that needs time consuming reset and VFX wire removal, or a squib under the prop that damages it and the table, just use an easily reset Load Lifter.
